Just days after LOUD lifted the Champions 2026 trophy, Riot Games has already put the key piece of next season on the table: the full list of partner teams for the Valorant Champions Tour 2027. According to Movistar eSports, the confirmation arrives before the community has had time to digest the end of the competitive year, with the new season practically kicking off while the Brazilian squad's title is still being celebrated.
It matters because the partner model is what decides who has a guaranteed seat in Valorant's international leagues and who will have to fight their way up from below. For teams, it is the difference between planning with stability and living season to season. For players, creators and fans, it is the map of who we will be sharing the servers, the broadcasts and social media with for the whole year.

What you need to know
- Riot Games has confirmed all the partner teams for VCT 2027, as reported by Movistar eSports.
- The announcement comes less than a week after LOUD were crowned world champions at Champions 2026.
- The 2027 season is already considered underway in practice, with barely any break between the end of one year and the start of the next.
- The partner system defines which organizations compete in the international leagues with a guaranteed spot, as opposed to those that must earn their place through the promotion circuits.
- For the Spanish-speaking scene, the list shows which projects with a presence in the Americas and Europe will have guaranteed visibility throughout the year.
What it means to be a VCT partner
Ever since Riot reorganized Valorant's competitive ecosystem into international leagues by region, with Americas, EMEA, Pacific and China as the major blocks, partner status became the most valuable asset on the circuit. A partner team does not have to fight for its survival every few months: its spot is secured, it competes in the highest-exposure events and it gets access to league-linked resources. Organizations left out depend on the promotion circuits, with a much narrower window to reach the top tier.
That is why every update to the partner list is examined under a microscope. It not only says who will be at the top, but also what kind of project Riot rewards: sustained investment, a brand with a community behind it and the capacity to keep up with the pace of an international calendar. The source does not detail changes from the previous year or name each organization, so we are not going to speculate about entries and exits that have not been confirmed.

A season change with no pause
What stands out most about the announcement is not so much the content as the timing. LOUD have just won Champions 2026 and, before a week has gone by, the conversation is already about VCT 2027. It is the way of working Riot has been consolidating: close the cycle with the World Championship and, almost without a breather, fire up the machinery for the following year so as not to lose attention or momentum.
For partner teams this means the preseason starts now: transfer market, decisions about the coaching staff, bootcamps and content planning. For teams not on the list, the clock is ticking just the same, but with fewer certainties and fewer resources. And for the community, it means going from the climax of Champions to roster-analysis mode in a matter of days.
Our take
At Underworld Lordz we see the announcement with mixed feelings. On the one hand, Riot having the partner list settled this far in advance gives the ecosystem stability: teams can sign players sensibly, players know which doors are open and content creators can plan their coverage without waiting months to learn the format. That predictability is something other competitive scenes envy and it deserves credit.
On the other hand, the pace worries us. Talking about the 2027 season already, when LOUD have not even finished celebrating their title, leaves little room for the champion to enjoy the spotlight and for the community to breathe. Competitive players have been chaining tournaments together all year, and a model that gives no respite between Champions and the next cycle does nothing to prevent burnout. A calendar that never rests ends up taking its toll, and we have seen it in more than one game.
And there is a point that affects us directly as a Spanish-speaking team: the partner model concentrates visibility in a handful of organizations. For anyone outside that list, breaking through means going via the promotion circuits, which are demanding and offer far less exposure. We would like Riot to accompany every partner announcement with more details on how it plans to look after the teams pushing from below, because that is where the talent that later reaches the top tier is forged.
What do you think?
VCT 2027 already has its partner teams and the season is kicking off almost without a pause after Champions 2026. Are you fine with this non-stop pace, or do you think Riot should leave more room between the World Championship and the next cycle? Let us know in the team chat or on our Discord.
