WARDOGS Season 2: Less Damage for Heavy Calibers and More Iron in the Garage

On October 15, 2026, BULKHEAD rolled out Season 2 of WARDOGS, its early access shooter which, according to Gamereactor Spain citing Insider Gaming's compilation of the patch notes, has reportedly passed three million copies sold. The season arrives with four brand-new weapons, three vehicle types, a rainy weather preset and, above all, a rebalance that strikes at the very foundation of combat: damage for the biggest calibers drops by up to 25%.
This matters because we are not looking at a season of skins and a battle pass. When a game with that player base suddenly cuts the damage of the .308, the 7.62x54mmR, the 7.62x39mm and the .50 Cal, what changes is the entire meta: time to kill, weapon choice, positioning and even how content gets recorded. For a competitive team like ours, it is time to test everything all over again.
What you need to know
- Date and scale: Season 2 has been available since October 15, 2026, with the game still in Early Access and a sales figure of more than three million that the source presents with caution.
- Four new weapons: the TCX-SPR assault rifle, the M14 marksman rifle, the PP-19 Bizon submachine gun and the Evo-3 Ultra light machine gun, all with their own combinable attachments.
- Three vehicles: the T-72B3 tank, the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-aircraft vehicle and the light Wolf-110 in two variants, one with a ring-mounted M2 Browning.
- Nerf to heavy calibers: base damage cuts of between 16% and 25% depending on the ammunition.
- Weather: a new rain preset that changes how matches read visually.
Arsenal and garage: what's coming and what it's for
The weapons
The lineup of four weapons covers almost every position in a squad. The TCX-SPR is the assault rifle for the player who wants versatility; the M14 strengthens the mid-range marksman role; the PP-19 Bizon brings a submachine gun option for anyone who plays tight around corners; and the Evo-3 Ultra adds a light machine gun built for suppression. The source stresses that each one arrives with new combinable attachments, so the loadout laboratory is open for business again.
The vehicles
The T-72B3 is described as slower than the L2A6, but cheaper and with better fuel economy. In other words, BULKHEAD is not adding a better tank, it is adding a different tank: an economical option for teams that prefer to rotate armor rather than bet everything on a single expensive unit. The Flakpanzer Gepard is the anti-aircraft answer that many matches were calling for, and the Wolf-110 covers light mobility, with the M2 Browning-armed variant as an interesting piece for escorting infantry.
The rebalance in numbers
The heart of the update is in the damage table. These are the base damage cuts the source lists for the heaviest calibers:
| Caliber | Base damage reduction |
|---|---|
| .308 Winchester | 25% |
| 7.62x54mmR | 20% |
| 7.62x39mm | 19% |
| .50 Cal | 16% |
The takeaway is clear: BULKHEAD wants big calibers to stop being the automatic answer. The patch also includes further damage mitigation tweaks that the source's excerpt does not fully cover, so it is worth reading the complete notes before calling the analysis done.

Our take
Here at the Underworld Lordz newsroom we applaud the goal, but with reservations about the method. A 25% cut to the .308 and a 20% cut to the 7.62x54mmR in one go is not fine-tuning, it is a hard turn of the wheel. In early access it is understandable for the studio to experiment, but for players who have spent months building their playstyle around heavy-caliber weapons, the change forces them to start from scratch. We would have liked to see a staggered rebalance, with room to measure the real effect before going all the way.
For content creators, on the other hand, this season is a gift. Four weapons with new attachment systems, three vehicles with clearly differentiated roles and rainy weather are material for weeks of guides, comparisons and loadout tests. And the T-72B3 as a cheap alternative to the L2A6 is, in our opinion, the smartest design decision in the package: it adds tactical choice without adding raw power.
What leaves us cold is the sales figure. The fact that the source itself says "allegedly" more than three million copies says a lot: WARDOGS needs official numbers and, above all, a clear roadmap toward leaving Early Access. Such an aggressive rebalance without that horizon can give the impression that the meta will change every season on a whim.
What do you think?
We are already testing the M14 and the T-72B3 on the team server, but we want to know how it looks from your seat. Do you think the 25% cut to the .308 fixes the WARDOGS meta, or have they overcorrected? Tell us in the team chat or on our Discord.
