Rockstar Games has shaken things up again without showing a single new second of gameplay. The studio has published a website where you can already listen to some of the radio stations and songs that will feature in GTA VI. The confirmed names span a wide range of styles: Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey and Black Sabbath, along with other big names in music. As reported by IGN España, Rockstar says the game will have the biggest and most varied selection of radio stations in its history.
Why does something that is, in theory, just background music matter? Because in Grand Theft Auto, the radio has never been background. It is part of the series' identity, its humor and its satire, and it is also what turns a simple drive into a moment people remember years later. The fact that Rockstar has dedicated an entire website to it makes it clear the studio sees the soundtrack as a pillar of the launch, not just an add-on.

What you need to know
- Rockstar Games has launched an official website where you can listen to some of GTA VI's radio stations and songs.
- Confirmed artists include Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey and Black Sabbath, alongside other major names.
- The studio promises the biggest and most varied radio selection it has ever put together.
- The mix ranges from reggaeton to alternative pop and classic metal, pointing to a very broad audience.
- The core information comes from IGN España, which broke the news.
Context: the radio as another character
Anyone who has played any game in the series knows the radio stations work almost like a character. The DJs, the absurd ads and the music selection shape the tone of the city just as much as its streets do. In GTA VI, set in a fictional version of Florida, the choice of artists makes a lot of sense. Bad Bunny connects directly with Latin and Caribbean culture, which has a strong presence in that region. Lana Del Rey brings that distinctly American cinematic nostalgia. Black Sabbath represents the historic weight of hard rock.
What's interesting is the strategy. Instead of dropping a trailer, Rockstar is letting the community discover the game through their ears. It's a cheap and effective way to keep the conversation going, sparking lists, theories and debates over which station will be everyone's favorite. And yes, it's also a way to remind us the game exists while the wait goes on.
Who it affects
Players, of course, but above all those who make a living creating content. Here's the big question the source doesn't answer and that we're not going to make up: how the rights to these songs will be handled in streams and videos. The more famous the artist, the more likely a copyright claim will pop up on Twitch or YouTube. We'll have to wait for Rockstar to clarify whether it will include a streamer mode or an option to mute licensed music.
Our take
Here at the Underworld Lordz newsroom, we're clear on this: this is top-tier marketing. Rockstar understands that music is identity, and putting Bad Bunny and Black Sabbath in the same game sends a message: GTA VI wants to be for everyone. For the Hispanic community, seeing one of the most-streamed Latin artists on the planet on the soundtrack is a welcome nod. We've spent years asking for Latin culture to stop being mere set dressing in big games, and this is a step in the right direction.
That said, it's not all applause. For competitive players, the radio is a nice extra, but it changes nothing about what really matters: performance, stability and, when it arrives, a fair online mode without cheaters. And for content creators, a star-studded soundtrack can be a double-edged sword. If every stream turns into a copyright minefield, many will end up playing with the radio off, and then having the best selection in history won't count for much.
Our stance: good on Rockstar, but we want to see the other side of the coin. A nice website generates buzz; what really builds trust is knowing you can stream your game without worrying about your video getting taken down.
What do you think?
The GTA soundtrack has always sparked endless debates, and this one won't be any different. Some people already have a favorite station without having picked up a controller, while others won't give the radio a second thought. So we're asking you directly: which artist or genre is missing from GTA VI's radio stations, and do you think Rockstar should include a streamer-safe mode?
