What started as a small indie phenomenon nobody saw coming now has its own power-armored version. Warhammer Survivors, the bullet heaven roguelite developed by Auroch Digital together with poncle, the creators of Vampire Survivors, finally has a release date: November 10, 2026. It's coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC and mobile devices, as reported by IGN España. There's also a free demo available right now for anyone who wants to try it before making up their mind.
Why does it matter? Because this isn't just another one of the many clones that followed the success of Vampire Survivors. The studio that invented the formula is directly involved, and on the other side is a team with previous experience in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It's the meeting of one of the most recognizable licenses in gaming with one of the most addictive genres of recent years, and that usually pays off both in sales and in hours streamed.

What you need to know
- Release date: November 10, 2026.
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC and mobile.
- Development: Auroch Digital, experienced with Warhammer 40,000, in collaboration with poncle, the studio behind Vampire Survivors.
- Genre: bullet heaven roguelite, the same core gameplay popularized by Vampire Survivors.
- Free demo: available now so you can try it before launch.
A collaboration that makes sense
The bullet heaven genre flips the classic bullet hell on its head: instead of dodging storms of projectiles, you're the one filling the screen with attacks while endless hordes of enemies throw themselves at you. The fun lies in the progression within each run, in the upgrade combinations and in that feeling of going from barely surviving to wiping out everything in sight.
When you think about it, few settings fit that idea as well as Warhammer. This is a universe built on desperate battles against enemies that outnumber the heroes by several orders of magnitude. The IGN España headline promises that the game comes packed with nods to the franchise, something longtime fans will be hunting for in detail from their very first run in the demo.
The range of platforms also says a lot. Launching simultaneously on current consoles, both Switch models, PC and mobile is a bet on the same massive reach that turned Vampire Survivors into a game everyone gave a shot. It's a title designed for short sessions, perfect for playing anywhere, and that counts for a lot on mobile and handhelds.
Our take
Here at Underworld Lordz we're optimistic, but with some caveats. poncle's involvement is the best possible guarantee that the core gameplay won't be a soulless copy: the genre lives or dies by the balance of its upgrades and by that hypnotic rhythm few have managed to replicate. The risk, however, is obvious: a license this strong can mask a lack of fresh ideas. If it all ends up being a matter of swapping bats for orks and whips for bolters, the novelty won't last long.
For competitive players, this kind of game has a very specific appeal: speedrunning and build optimization. Vampire Survivors spawned a huge scene around routes, unlocks and broken combos, and we'd love to see the same thing happen here. That said, it will all depend on how much depth its systems have, something the demo should start to make clear. We recommend taking your time with it and paying attention to the character variety and how much runs differ from one another.
For content creators, the launch timing is interesting: in early November, with the Warhammer community always active and the genre still going strong on streaming platforms, it's a game with everything it needs to work on stream. Short runs, chaotic moments and reactions that are easy to cut into clips. And if the franchise nods are well hidden, there'll be plenty of material for guides and trivia videos.
